International Business & Management

The terms International and Sustainable best describe the Wittenborg approach to business development, innovation and entrepreneurship, and the business school is developing an applied sciences research master programme that will focus on these key aspects. This Master in International Business and Management will be a 1 ½ year academic research and applied science master programme and its general context throughout the programme will be International and Sustainability

The programme wil be aimed at graduates who after a year of work experience would like to continue their studies at a higher academic level. These students can either follow the programme full time, or in combination with their work. Wittenborg University will continue its tradition of attracting students from around the globe, as well as from within the Netherlands and the MSc programme will offer truly international classrooms made up of students from up to 20 different nationalities.

The programme will comprise of two main focus points:

  • Strategic Management
  • Innovation Management

A series of core modules and a set of elective modules will allow the students to focus on specific in-depth research areas. As an MSc in management, the programme aims to bring students into contact with both academics and qualified business professionals and each module will be led by a lector or professor (Phd researcher) and co taught by senior lecturers with extensive experience in international business and industry, allowing students to combine broad and in-depth research with the application of their science in the field.

Students will study trends in the world markets and economies and relate this to specific sectors – both in the Netherlands and abroad. The aim of the programme is to enable graduates to operate within fields of international business and management influenced by a rapidly changing world economy, and to support the economic stability and growth of the Netherlands through the understanding the approaches to innovation and sustainability within companies and organisations.

The Master programme will enable graduates to be able to work within the context of (international) business and management with a deep understanding of the use and implementation of business intelligence, analytics, risk and stakeholder management, ethics and corporate social responsibility.

This Master IBM programme is currently undergoing accreditation (the programme is expected to start in 2012) and it is therefore not yet possible to apply directly for this programme. If you would like to be informed about the programme and its starting date please contact the admissions office.
