Communication Skills

Communication skills are essential in getting across your suggestions and proposals. When you are heading for changes in strategies and behaviour, acceptance, cooperation and adequate follow-up cannot be taken for granted. In this module, you will learn to deal with these issues. Although there are always imponderable aspects at play, an interesting body of knowledge exists that can be of great help, in particular in the areas of negotiation, coaching & mentoring, and conflict mediation.

The subject will delve into these areas with the aid of theories, cases, and interactive discourse. Intercultural communication aspects will be taken into account as a major focus point. You will learn to apply basic models in order to deal with acceptance, cooperation, and follow-up issues. This module also provides a basis for doing research that brings to light how acceptance, cooperation and follow-up can be promoted within a particular organisation.
